The information contained in the file entered will be placed as data items in different categories.
Beginning at the top of the category list, select a category, and then fill in any missing information in the spaces provided in the table(s) in the data items frame.
A set of instructions and a table listing the data items in the selected category will be displayed in the data items frame. Follow the instructions at the top of the frame and fill in any missing information relevant to your structure in the boxes provided for each item. The names of mandatory data items are displayed in RED. An explanation for any item can be obtained by selecting Help and an example by selecting Example. This information will appear in the Help frame at the lower right.
To display the data in the selected category in tabular form, press the DISPLAY AS TABLE button located above this frame. A table including any information you have entered for the selected category will appear in the bottom frame.
You can preview your entry at any time by selecting the PREVIEW ENTRY button located in the top frame.
Before moving on to another category, select the SAVE button to enter the information. Switching to another category without saving your data will erase the information that you have entered.
Proceed through the category list until you have entered all relevant information.
To update your profile, select the UPDATE PROFILE button.
You will be presented with an approximate measure of the completeness of your file for deposition and a table previewing your entry. If you wish to change or add any information, select Return to the Input Tool. If you have added all of the information you would like and do not want to make any changes, press the UPDATE PROFILE button.
Information about the structure, experiment, and structure determination and refinement is arranged in different categories listed in the left frame.
Examples for entire categories may be viewed by selecting a category and the selecting the word EXAMPLES. The examples will appear in the lower right-hand frame.
Data items for each category will appear in the right/middle frame when a category is selected.
The data items contained in a particular category can be viewed as a table by selecting the words DISPLAY AS TABLE. The table will appear in the lower right frame.
Descriptions and examples are available for each data item by selecting either the Help or Example button positioned under or adjacent to the data item. The information will appear in the frame at the lower right.
Select the PREVIEW ENTRY button from the top frame, and you will be presented with a report showing the information that has been entered, and a validation report for the structure.
